About APV
A story of community, resilience, and women leading transformative change across Rwanda.
15+ Years of Impact
Hundreds of Families Served
Our History
Founded in 2007 by seven visionary volunteer women, the Association for Promotion of the Vulnerable (APV) began as a heartfelt response to the growing challenges faced by women and children in our community.
What started as a grassroots initiative in Kimironko has blossomed into a registered NGO that has served hundreds of families across Rwanda for over 15 years, transforming vulnerability into resilience.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote education and women's rights while strengthening the economic power of beneficiaries through modern agriculture, vocational training, and sustainable development projects.
We believe in empowering individuals with the skills and resources they need to take control of their own lives and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Rwanda.
Our Vision
We envision a society where human rights for women, men, boys, and girls are valued and respected for inclusive justice.
Our ultimate goal is a community where every individual has the capacity and ability to make decisions that shape their own lives and the community at large, moving beyond vulnerability into a future of shared prosperity.
Building a future of shared prosperity.
